Mass Excavations
Mass excavations have been a staple in the history and backlog of our company. Our ability to coordinate and cooperate with general building contractors and various other sub-contractors working on the projects have provided us with a favorable reputation on these types of projects. Additionally, our demolition and shoring experience proves valuable in conjunction with mass excavations.
Pipelines
Pipeline construction is an area of work that Wolff Excavating has been very successful doing. We have installed all sizes and types of pipeline from 75” welded wrapped steel pipe to 6” ductile iron water line. We enjoy a fine reputation with homebuilders, contractors and many utility companies over the years. Our people make a difference when it comes to this type of work.
Environmental Construction And Landfills
One of our interest lies in environmental construction and particularly in development and construction of municipal and private landfills. Although the liner portion of the project is subcontracted, Wolff Excavating acts as construction managers for the client typically constructing all major items of the project. Our bonding capacity is sufficient to enable us to submit competitively priced bids and proposals for this type of work.
Mining
Our experience in working in mountainous terrain, wet and muddy conditions in ground water, and observing environmentally sensitive concerns coupled with utilizing specialty equipment have been the reasons we received the bid. Wolff Excavating has owned its own gravel mining and crushing operations. Additionally, we possess the quality safety record required to contract work on mining facilities.
Mountainous Projects
Local ski resorts have enlisted our services throughout recent years. Wolff Excavating possesses multi-project experience at elevations above 8,000 feet and on slopes of up to 45%. Mountain work has included installation of snow-making pipelines, clearing, site development and construction of ski runs. Utilizing our specialized all-wheel drive equipment, we incorporate our experience, knowledge, creativity and diversity to accomplish these projects.
